Each state laws are different on counseling contracts, check with an attorney, there are ton's that give you a free consultation. My girlfriend bought a Toyota last night (before asking for advice) and now wants to return it. Can she? Each state is different I would check with an attorney, if not I would talk to the dealership and ask if you can switch for a different vehicle(some will do this and some won't)
I know that California law states that you have no right to back out once the deal is done and they tell you that when you make the purchase. Once that car rolls out the driveway it is a used car and it's value reflects that fact. If the dealer is extremely cooperative they may work with her but it is unlikely and they certainly not required to at all.My girlfriend bought a Toyota last night (before asking for advice) and now wants to return it. Can she?It depends... on the toyota company. My girlfriend bought a Toyota last night (before asking for advice) and now wants to return it. Can she?
you return it if it is defective or not according to standards. you don't return it just because you change your mind.
with some dealers you may be able to, but not at the same value that you bought it, sorry
although my guess is that she wants it but you don't
It personaly sounds like mabe you convinced her that she paid too much and got a bad deal and she needs to return it. I feel sorry for her. Best think is to keep it and enjoy it and know that it is reliable. My girlfriend bought a Toyota last night (before asking for advice) and now wants to return it. Can she?
Why does she need to return it because you do not like it? If she likes it she should be happy. Does she tell you what to drive? There is a contract you sign when buying a car or truck it is a legal binding one at that. If the dealer where to say OK we will take it back most all of the auto contracts have about 5% return of the price of the auto paid so it could cost her a bit of money because of you do not like it. This kind of thing can cause headaches because when you buy a car or a house or anything large it is a binding contract.
As my grandfather tells me . . .
You gotta be tough if your going to be dumb.
Some of the dealerships in my area have a 5 day return policy, if you are not happy within 5 days of purchase, return the car no questions asked.
Yes, more than likely they will not allow you to return it since a brand new vehicle depreciates like 30% as soon as it drives off the lot...I highly doubt that will let her return it
i am 100% sure that the dealership will work something out. call 'em and talk to them properly, dont act like a badass or a maven, they will give you a headache. your gf will probably get into another toyota(which i suspect you hate) but if you're thinking about getting a full refund....good luck, you will be needing it. check your state attorney generals office, if you are a taxpayer you are entitled to their help.
