How long will a salvaged 1999 Toyota Camry run?

I'm thinking about buying a salvaged 1999 Toyota Camry that has 180,000. First of all, how many miles does a 99 Camry usually run? These are all legitimate answers but you must first find out why the car is a salvage. Maybe the car was stolen and not recovered in the time. A salvage title is not good but remember that a salvage title is given when recovery or repair equals or exceeds the value of the vehicle. For all you know, the car might have not been in an accident. It could've been stolen or had parts stolen off of it. 180,000 miles is a lot of miles even if that's a car capable of 400,000 miles. I don't know what the asking price is but high miles and salvage title should be a reason to get this car for under $2,000.... Also it's got a Salvage Title because someone wrecked it. It has nothing to do with the drivetrain.



Having a Bad motor won't have anything to do with the title.

I personally bought a 98 camry 4cylinder with 140,000 miles on it and have been driving it for 3 + years and more then 120,000 additional miles. Had to change the spark plug wires and timing belt but that's about it.



The air conditioning still works too!



Have a close look at the car though. If it's been hit and fixed I would stay clear.
