an accident. You know by putting the car in neutral and then applying the brakes? I haven't heard one report on the news that is telling people this. Obviously everyone is panicking when their Toyota accelerates out of control and is forgetting this simple defensive driving trick. Who thinks more defensive driving should be taught before getting a drivers license? I think they definitely should do a better job since so many people are having episodes. There have been reports from people not being able to shift it out of drive or being able to turn the ignition off. All the cars don't have the same problem. The one I saw on the news last night had already been fixed by the dealer and the throttle had stuck wide open again anyway.
