I heard that Toyota will possibly be offering higher cash rebates, extending the 0% financing to 60 months, offering a free maintenance program (oil changes, etc.) and extending their warranties. Does anyone know if these actions are true and when they could take place?Do you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?Chris,
I have heard Toyota is starting to offer incentives, but if you're really after a deal on a potential deathtrap, used values have come down significantly. Personally, I would let someone else absorb the depreciation of consumer backlash at a company that hid data / did not issue repairs at the cost of many lives - just to save a few yen here and there.Do you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?
Supposedly in March. They are supposed to do 0% again and match the $1000 that others are offering to leave Toyota. I think they are also offering $1000 owner loyalty as well. Personally I think they should do a whole lot more. It sounds like they are having more recalls now with the power steering in some of their vehicles. They need damage control.Do you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?Truthfully, with all the dangerous recalls that have come out because of Toyotas neglect and dreadful quality..---(cheap plastics, bad brakes, broken accelerators, bad steering on Corollas, and drive shafts snapping off their trucks, Camrys electronic transmissions clunking and banging at every stop) and their uncooperative attitudes about opening up and telling the truth to the U.S.Government--who is now DEMANDING that Toyota reveal the documents of recalls...or be fined MILLIONS of dollars (They still refuse to co operate) --- I wouldn't buy a new Toyota of ANY model, even if they took $5000 off the sticker price, paid me $5000 over blue book value of my present 1999 toyota, and threw in another extra $2000 worth of options free. The repercussions of this are staggering, and could cause many Toyota service locations to close, leaving you with a broken Toyota...and no place to get it fixed. Frankly, I'd rather buy a bicycle! Toyota does not deserve my money...and they will NOT get it either.Do you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?
Right because you really want a car that when you drive it you will have the throttle stuck open, your brakes will fail, your steering will stop working, and when you hit the tree your airbag wont inflate and you will die.Do you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?did gm and ford do anything, regardless of these recall they still better than gm,see for your self google car recalls, chevy alone has 700 ,not gm ,chevy so i can imagine how many recalls gm hasDo you think Toyota will offer better incetives since the recall problems?
They are going to takes the "Brakes optional" off of their Prius models and make that option standard equipment
