Why does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?

I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla that originally stared blowing white smoke when the car was on for more than 30 minutes. Now it seems to be coming from underneath the hood. Could this be the engine? Someone told me it had to do with underneath the valve gasket cover being cleaned. I have also heard that its possible the engine is cracked. Toyotas are ususally good for 200,000 plus miles. Mine has only 160,000. Please tell me what the problem could be. ThanksWhy does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?White smoke can and DOES come from coolant burn off in the oil due to a leaking or blown head gasket, cracked head etc.Why does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?
FIRST I WOULD LET THE ENG IDLE AND LOOK UNDER THE HOOD TO SEE WHERE IT IS COMING FROM SEEING HOW IT STOPS AFTER WARMING UP I WOULD THINK THIS IS A CRACK OR GASKET PROBLEM IF YOU THINK ITS A CRACK AFTER SEEING WHERE THE WHITE VAPOR IS COMING FROM BUY SOME SILVER SEAL AND PUT IT IN THE RAD DO THIS WHEN THE ENG IS COLD USE 2 SMALL CONTAINERS NOT ONE IF THIS STOPS IT IT WILL ONLY WORK FOR A SHORT TIME LIKE MAYBE 2 MONTHS IF IT GETS WORSE IN WARMER WEATHER THEN I WOULD GET IT CHECKED AT GOOD REPAIR SHOP THEY CAN CHECK THE WHITE SMOKE AND TELL YOU IF ITS RAD COOLANT AND THAT WILL TELL YOU A LOT ABOUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS GOOD LUCK JFBWhy does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?My Honda was doing that, I was afraid it was a crack in the engine block. I was smoking out entire intersections, white smoke. I took it into get fixed and they told me it can be one of two things, a cracked engine block or a blown gasket. In the end it was a gasket, got off lucky:) also i was putting in a jug of coolant a day:(Why does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?
sounds like the valves are burned up.160k on a toy is time to change your timing belt to,,, you may very well have warped the heads,,, if the oild is a brown mily color get your check book out,,, well one way ot the other,,, all toys are expensive to work onWhy does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?white smoke usually means coolant is burning, and if you overheated your car the head is warped, or you blew the head gasket, and you need a new engine. gotta keep an eye on your gauges, and pull over don't keep going if its not running good.

check to see if you oil looks like chocolate milk if it does, the head gasket is shot and you do need a new engine or a rebuild

it dosent matter thats it a toyota if YOU don't maintain the car it might as well have a briggs and straton tractor motor in it. but sometimes stuff happens that no one has control over. Why does my 1999 Toyota Corolla blow white smoke from the tail pipe and now from under the hood?
