I rencently bought a 1987 Toyota MR2 with an automatic transmision, and close to the dashboard there is a button with ECT written on it, does someone knows what is the function of this button? With it on the car will stay in the lower gears longer, allowing you to get more pull from the engine by changing when it shifts (keeps it in lower gears to a higher rpm.)
