Since Toyota's reputation has been tarnished and sales are off 16% Why do they only offer owner loyalty?

Ford and GM offer Toyota owners $500+ and Up to buy their cars. I see Toyota only offers $1000 loyalty to existing Toyota owners. Somehow this looks like they want to make a New Car Sale to followers of the brand. Why wouldn't the Company offer the thousand to people that do not or never have owned a Toyota ? Every Car Company is trying to compete and get new owners. Toyota seems to just be trying to keep the ones they have and Not get any new owners.. Blame it on Pure Greed and another poorly run corporation.Since Toyota's reputation has been tarnished and sales are off 16% Why do they only offer owner loyalty?nooooo blame it on Ray Lahood and Obama, they constantly bring this up

Chevy recalled (very new about power steering failure)

Ford....hybrid brake problems.





Toyota just made another racall.....the good thing is that they're taking this very seriously...

just imagine if GM had this problem, they would just sit quietly and no one would care



2012 Toyota's would be much better......Oh they'll give out more than just $500 for new cars. Free gas for up to $100, free maintenance for 6 months.....and there was more



I just bought a new 2010 Camry, was inspected nothing wrong with it.Since Toyota's reputation has been tarnished and sales are off 16% Why do they only offer owner loyalty?
No accidents were due to recalls. Just media hype and we or government will pay for time down and as for 16% drop in sales, 75% of a car dealer's profit is service and 25% is to gain market share which they will nevr lose.

All car companies provide extra incentives for current owners. These programs come and go. Toyota is no different. Since they are now the #1 car manufacturer worldwide, they are obviously not a poorly run corporation. Instead, I would say that your observation is poorly considered.Since Toyota's reputation has been tarnished and sales are off 16% Why do they only offer owner loyalty?Oh ya, Scion is a perect example to kill your "No new car buyer" theroy. Scion targets younger people. Most younger people drive American Cars. Scion Sales are up.
