How would I go about building the block on a 78 Toyota Corolla Custom, and the SR5?

I purchased a 78 Toyota Corolla Custom, the engine needs to be rebuilt, and I'm thinking I might as well build or swap it out. I haven't decided between them yet. What are my best options?How would I go about building the block on a 78 Toyota Corolla Custom, and the SR5?If you find an engine for it,,, there is a good chance it'll need a rebuild as well due to age, so I what advise rebuilding it yourself...or having a shop do it for you for the right price.
